How Nowthen Plumbing Was Founded
Nowthen Plumbing was established in 1996 by Jeff Boettcher, after nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the plumbing trade. Jeff began learning the profession in 1988, working alongside a respected local plumber who also happened to be his high school hockey coach.
Through years of apprenticeship and field experience, he developed not only technical expertise but a strong foundation in precision workmanship, accountability, and doing every job correctly the first time.
After eight years of training and real-world service work throughout the northwest metro, Jeff launched Nowthen Plumbing with a simple goal: provide dependable, high-quality plumbing services to local homeowners without cutting corners.
Over the past 30 years, that commitment to honest recommendations, reliable repairs, and long-term plumbing solutions has earned the trust of thousands of families in Nowthen, Elk River, Ramsey, and surrounding communities.
The Next Chapter — Built on the Same Foundation
Today, Nowthen Plumbing continues to serve homeowners throughout Nowthen, Elk River, Ramsey, Anoka, Otsego, Zimmerman, and surrounding northwest metro communities with the same dependable service it has delivered for decades. Our team includes experienced, licensed plumbers and a full-time office manager who ensures scheduling, communication, and customer care remain seamless.
In 2025, founder Jeff Boettcher retired and entrusted the future of Nowthen Plumbing to another established, family-owned company: Brass Tacks Plumbing (formerly Goss Plumbing) of Plymouth. Owners Carlton and Cassandra Goss share the same values that built Nowthen Plumbing, precision workmanship, honest recommendations, and long-term reliability.
